Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the King James Bible AI Android editions (package com.kingjamesbible.ai), the Windows progressive web app and the website at biblekingjamesversion.online. Contact: reynhardt.muller@outlook.com.

Private, local features

Bible reading, searches, bookmarks, highlights, notes, last reading position, journal entries, prayer details, reading-plan progress, reminders, display preferences, narrator preference and AI Bible Assistant history are stored locally in the app or browser profile. IQ Studios does not operate an account server for this information and does not receive its contents. A private-session option prevents new assistant conversations from being retained. Users can create an encrypted companion backup and choose where to store or share it; IQ Studios does not receive the backup or its password.

AI Bible Assistant

The assistant always includes a local safety fallback grounded in the installed KJV text. Android and web editions may also offer optional Gemini 3.7 Flash assistance. Gemini is off by default and requires a separate, explicit opt-in. When it is enabled, only eligible non-sensitive conversation text and a safety-checked local draft are sent over HTTPS through the app's protected gateway to Google Gemini. Prayer, crisis, medical, financial, legal, private-session, personal-data and exact-Scripture requests stay offline. Google may process submitted Gemini content under its own terms, and free-tier use may allow Google to use submitted data to improve its products. The assistant is an AI system, not a human, clergy member, doctor, therapist, lawyer or emergency service. Its replies can be incomplete or mistaken. Personal details are remembered only on the device and only after the user approves the memory prompt. Do not submit confidential information to an online model or enter it on a shared device.

On-device language tools

Android editions may download Google ML Kit language-identification and translation models selected by the user. After a model is downloaded, the app performs supported identification and translation on the device. Google Play services or the applicable app store may process ordinary download and diagnostic information when supplying those model files.

Microphone, speech recognition and narration

The microphone is activated only when the user chooses voice input and grants device or browser permission. Speech is converted into text by the recognition service available on the device or browser. Depending on the user’s Windows, Android and speech-provider settings, that provider may process audio online under its own privacy terms. IQ Studios does not save microphone recordings. Narration uses text-to-speech voices installed on the device.

Advertising and sponsored links

Android editions may use Google Mobile Ads when internet access is available. The Windows progressive web app and website may use Google AdSense only where permitted. Google may process IP address, device and browser information, advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from IP, app or site interactions, advertising interactions and diagnostics to deliver, personalize where permitted, measure, secure and prevent fraud in advertising under Google's privacy terms. Where required, Google's certified consent platform presents privacy choices before personalized advertising. Advertising spaces collapse when no approved campaign is configured. In the Android app, advertising is excluded from Bible reading, prayer and journal screens, support and payment screens, privacy controls, microphone disclosures, saved private memory, encrypted-backup tools and AI conversations. Google advertising choices can be reviewed at Google Ad Settings.

Purchases and donations

Where an app-store edition offers an optional purchase, the store processes the payment and its privacy terms apply. Android editions may offer voluntary consumable support purchases, which do not unlock app features, and a separate permanent non-consumable Remove Ads purchase. A valid Remove Ads entitlement suppresses app-open and banner advertising and can be restored through the same store account. In the Windows edition, voluntary support purchases may use Microsoft Store Billing and do not remove advertising or unlock features. IQ Studios receives transaction status and product identifiers needed to deliver or restore the selected product, but does not receive full payment-card details.

Notifications, sharing and external links

Android reminders are scheduled locally after permission is granted. When a user chooses Share, only the selected verse and app link are passed to the app or service selected by the user. External websites and services have their own privacy practices.

Security, retention and deletion

HTTPS protects website and optional Gemini traffic in transit. Local information remains until the user deletes it using the app controls, clears app or browser storage, or uninstalls the app. IQ Studios cannot recover local information after it is deleted. Advertising-consent choices can be reviewed separately where an advertising provider is active. Store purchase history and restored entitlements are retained by the applicable store under its own policy.

Children

The product is a general-audience Bible app and is not designed to collect personal information from children. Parents and guardians should supervise use on shared devices and review any external sponsor website before a child visits it.

Availability

The King James Bible edition is not distributed in the United Kingdom, Mainland China, Russia or Belarus. Access restrictions may be applied using country information supplied by the hosting network.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app, service providers or legal requirements change. The current effective date appears above.
